反課綱微調北高發言人林姓學生燒炭輕生，此事件震撼全台。民進黨團昨表示，要求立院立即召開臨時會，請求立法院長王金平立即召開朝野協商，就學生所提出的吳思華下台、與立即停止違法課綱兩項訴求，於臨時會中作成決議，以實際行動回應林冠華股票入門教學網站 投資股票入門書籍 股票入門書推薦及廣大同學的心聲。
對此，國民黨中央政策會執行長賴士葆今（31）日表示，國民黨團不排斥開臨時會，但是第一個關於課綱，這是行政權、不是立法權， 最多做成決議案。
賴士葆說，第二個要開臨時會的話，過去早就要開了，是民進黨不要開的，他堅持三個案子要一起送進來，第一個是組改，第二個是募兵條例，第三個就服法52條，就是讓外勞長期照護的期限從12年延長到15年。
賴士葆重申，課綱是決議案，不是法律案。至於臨時會何時開？賴士葆說，看立法院長王金平的意思，還有看連署的程度，過了就開。
